Anne Oxton, our HR Recruitment and Retention Manager, achieved the incredible last Sunday and ran the 10km race at the Warrington Running Festival.
Anne was running to raise money for We Change Lives, and it’s safe to say that she’s absolutely smashed it!
Now in its third year, the Warrington Running Festival is a truly amazing opportunity for the community of Warrington to come together and raise money for some wonderful causes and charities.
The running route took Anne across some of the iconic parts of the town. Starting at the Golden Gates in the heart of Warrington, Anne set off towards the River Mersey to loop around the Howley Quay area, before passing by Victoria Park and reaching Cantilever bridge, then heading back towards the Golden Gates (I think we can all agree that this is what Sundays were made for)!
Running 10km is no mean feat; taking on this challenge takes grit, determination, and a whole lot of resilience. At WCL, we’re so grateful to Anne for her dedication and generosity in supporting our charity and representing the fantastic work that our team achieves.
Thank you, Anne!
