Introducing our new Learning Disability-Supported Housing Service

We’ve got some exciting news to share with you all – We Change Lives is growing!

We’re making strides in achieving our goal of expanding the Supported Living Network services in and around Warrington with the addition of a new support service for individuals with complex learning disabilities.

WCL will be working with partners to refurbish a bungalow and provide a supported housing service that’s centred around the needs of the people living there. At We Change Lives, we understand that each and every individual is unique, and the level of care should reflect this; people-centred care is about prioritising people and delivering a service led by users.

One of the amazing things about supported living is how it enables people to develop confidence and become active, independent citizens within the community. People with complex learning disabilities may have conditions like epilepsy or secondary mental health difficulties, and require living space with assistive technology. By giving these individuals full living support, they can build on their strengths, develop new skills and live as independently as possible.

We’re truly thrilled to be adding this learning-disability-supported service to our network and providing more supported housing that fundamentally changes people’s quality of life for the better.

This is yet another big step forward on our continued journey to grow our reach in Cheshire West and Chester – empowering more and more people along the way.

We’ll be sharing more updates about this new and exciting service, so be sure to give WCL a follow on Facebook and Instagram to stay in the know!
