Meet Emma, Older People Services Manager
The Beginning of a Remarkable Career

When Emma first joined We Change Lives as a Support Worker at Ryfield’s Village seven years ago, she stepped into a world dedicated to uplifting and empowering individuals. Her role was crucial in helping older adults with learning and physical disabilities, as well as mental health needs and dementia. Emma's early days were marked by a deep commitment to enhancing the lives of those she served, fostering independence, and integrating them into their local communities.


Emma's passion for person-centred care quickly set her apart. Her unique blend of empathy, skill, and unwavering positivity fuelled her rapid progression. Her ability to connect with residents and colleagues alike paved the way for her swift promotion to Team Leader, marking the first of many milestones in her career with us.


Leading with Heart and Skill

Emma's journey with WCL is a story of continuous growth. Within five years, she ascended to the role of Service Manager at Heathside and The Mews, where she now leads with the same passion and dedication that marked her early days. Her role involves guiding teams to provide outstanding care for older individuals and those with dementia, ensuring that every day is as enriching as possible for our residents.


Alongside her career progression, Emma has been dedicated to expanding her skills and knowledge. Her pursuit of industry-recognised qualifications, such as the NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Care Management, is a testament to her commitment to excellence in her field.
